Things to do in and around Coffin Bay (2. Farm Beach)

Farm Beach is located around 15 minutes to the North West of Coffin Bay. It is accessed via a reasonable dirt road from the town of Wangary (Google will help). It is a beautiful sheltered baeach ideal for walking, swimming or fishing. It is right next door to the opening of Coffin Bay.

Why is it named Farm Beach?

A tractor graveyard gives a huge hint as this is where local farmers retire their old tractors. Many of the tractors in the compound are actually in working condition as local farmers launch their boats on Farm Beach using there trusty (and rusty) old tractors. It is not unusual to see the beach lined with tractors and boat trailers on a nice Summer day.

It is worth the drive to Farm Beach. On the way, call into Mount Dutton Bay or visit the Piggery. I will provide more detail about these in future posts.
